Facebook Fame Or Manson Posterity? A Colorado Tragedy.

Of course it goes without saying the events in Colorado make the term horrifying seem tame. I pray for peace to all family members of the lost and injured and offer my profound condolences. I also ponder and ask myself as most of you do, why? Is it as simple as a sick individual starving for attention? Was it a delusional genius along the lines of a Hannibal Lechter who could not stop the voices? Was he after the famed Andy Warhol “15 minutes of fame” syndrome. As one who is always fascinated by the power of the brain both good and ill, I need answers. There may be none.

We must as a nation who is becoming more accustomed to seeing these events question the cause. Too much technology? Too much Reality TV? Too many destructive games? Does anyone live in reality anymore? I mean after all this crazed so called genius thought he was the Joker. Well I for one do not need a PHD to draw my diagnosis. I just wonder why no one had noticed this behavior or if they had, why would they enable it? His own mother is quoted as confirming “yes my son did it” as if she was not in the least surprised. But how could such a sick individual advance to PHD status in neuroscience. I for one have tried to read on the subject and can not begin to pronounce the words let alone understand what it all means.

Perhaps he was just starved for attention. After all just look at Facebook some time. I believe it will confirm how starved people become for attention once they begin. I am sure you have heard it said or have said yourself “I don’t give a damn what Mary had for lunch today”. Well believe us people we don’t. Please stop. But is it an underlying symptom? Perhaps it is. We are in a celebrity obsessed culture. We need attention. Some crave attention as I crave a good smoke.

But I don’t think this Joker wanted to go to the Jersey Shore and be part of the trash that washes up on that putrid beach. Our entire culture is now an apparent appeal to the lowest common denominator. What is happening to us and our children? Fame or infamy at any  price it would seem. Be as repugnant as you can and you are famous. No talent or special skills required anymore.

We should not be surprised.  We have allowed the decent to occur before our own eyes. It is indeed sad to behold and I pray our leaders do not take advantage of the situation for a photo op. Oh wait they were first on the scene. Silly me.

I arrive at the conclusion that this was one sick boy. The previous paragraphs may apply to some, but not this one. At least I hope not. It would render the tragedy far worse if he just wanted attention. A deranged mind might at minimum offer a touch of solace to the grieving families. If done for infamy, than fry the bastard.

Enough With The Stalinist Blather Please Mr. President !!!

You have to wonder about the leadership of this country when you receive kudos from the likes of leaders like Fidel Castro and Vladimir Putin. I can state several more but is it a surprise that the only praise comes from dictators? Ones who have pillaged their countries at the expense of their respective peoples and all for the sake of some washed up and useless policy created by a parasite named Marx that is known as “Socialism”. In case you didn’t know, Marx lived off the generosity of others as he was basically lazy and useless. His family suffered at his expense but the idiot ideological rich still supported him as they do today with one of his disciples who will go unnamed for the moment.

This is almost as stupid as wearing a Che t-shirt. Most who do including and I speculate here for disclosure, more than half of the “Occupy Crowd” wore that silly shirt. To them he is a hero for God only knows why. To the countless thousands who live/lived in reality, he was a murderer plain and simple.

So our President is on the “Class Warfare Tour”. It is beneath the dignity of the office he is entrusted with and besides it is a tired old song sung mostly by failed societies. Perhaps this is what our enemies cheer in our leader. He leads us down the path of destruction like the pied piper and the lemmings follow him off the cliff. Of course this should please Fidel and Kim,Jong whatever the new one is called as they just might benefit somehow.

I am tired of Bain Capital. It is meaningless and no more than a deflection to obscure true failed policies. Even CBS News, no right wing agency is tired of his words. Who wouldn’t be? I suppose the envious, the jealous. It is just such a bore. He sounds like the old Politburo members stirring the pot. I personally find it demeaning and to be kind, less than inspirational let alone in the spirit of Americanism.

So he attacks success with venom. Poor Romney is being tarred and feathered for being a success. Not in my country. We still aspire to such heights where I come from and I will accept no such tripe as is being dispensed. It’s funny how those who cheer the President don’t have similar feelings towards similarly wealthy people who have a “D” in front of their names.

Having said that how about the mainstream media. Their silence is deafening albeit hypocritical in the extreme. Why you ask?

Let us see. Nancy Pelosi worth millions via hotels and wineries. From what I hear she pays less than minimum wages by the way. How compassionate of her.

The Kennedy family. Let us just say they keep their wealth on offshore trusts in the Fiji islands too evade taxation. I suppose when they don’t pay taxes it is easy to cry out for more from us.

Sir John Kerry. Heir gigolo has married in to more money than the Gabor family. And he parks his yacht in Rhode Island to evade taxes in Massachusetts. How noble of you Lerch.

Maybe you have heard of the wealth Diane Fienstein has helped her husband generate with her contacts in China? Not likely as it is all insider dealings.

My point friends is these so called champions of the poor do more to evade and swindle than Bernie Madoff, yet are treated as paragons of the downtrodden when in fact they are nothing more than carnies. God I love that word. Thanks M.

Lest we forget the idiots from Hollywood? Yes let’s forget these pinheads as we all know who they are and how naive they are. It is just a shame that the dumbing down of our school system (by design) of course, has left so many people in the dark over what truly transpires at the top. I also fault the media for its misinformation campaign which is criminal. All to serve an ideology that is washed up and a complete failure wherever it has been tried. How disingenuous these people be.

Lenin had a term for these types. “Useful idiots”. We sure have quite a few in this country. Let the education begin and enough about Bain and Mitt’s money. After all, he earned it. That is the American Way.

High Speed Rail For California…Are We Nuts?

Perhaps we the people are sane and it is more likely the prostitutes in Sacramento are insane. Personally I have not heard a single sole advocate for this latest and greatest boondoggle in a once Golden State. We are now more tarnished than my wedding silver and please do not let my spouse see this. No that is ok she keeps it polished unlike those we have given the authority to to polish us. Which is exactly what they do and are about to do again. Last Friday the California Senate passed the bill to fund this “project”.

Don’t get me wrong I think trains are cool and the faster the better. But that is not my point. It is the financing of the project and governments history with such projects that have me in a tizzy. As always a few connected sources and companies will benefit. But again as always it is all of us who will pay for some grand yet irresponsible vision.

Let us first not forget that we Californians love our cars. Call it a home away from home. An escape if you will from the days tedium. And of course being California our vehicles tell the world about us as individuals as well as our taste and style. After all what is cooler than driving a cool ride.

No friends my point is about the money or rather lack thereof. My birth state has a current account of unfunded liabilities of over $500 billion. Where will this come from? The weasels care not as they will be gone by the time the piper comes for payment and the poor little ones of today will be forced to stop watching Spongebob Squarepants and be at work by 7 am. Talk about child labor practices. Who else will be left? As our illustrious leaders have spent us in to oblivion and scared off business by the thousands for friendlier climates, we are actually losing population for perhaps the first time in the history of this beautiful state.

And to top it off our “Esteemed Governor” with hat in hand just shared the news that our deficit for the year has doubled his expectations. Doh! What do you expect Gov. Keep hiking taxes and fees and regulations and the golden goose will flee. It is really so simple I should think you might grasp it but perhaps it is I who am mistaken. No it is not I who is mistaken as on that same day the Governor called for more taxes. So you see, he is clueless. I knew I was right. I always thought it was just blind ideology. So more people will now flee and the deficit will continue growing. Simple economics. Moonbeam indeed.

So for my non Californian brethren unfamiliar with this story it has been in the works for some time now. And to keep it short it was estimated to cost in the neighborhood of $15-20 billion. The most recent figure places it at $100 billion. Should we really trust leaders like this with anything more than a lemonade stand? No we can’t and if memory serves, no you can’t have a lemonade stand anymore without the purchase of a permit. Those poor kids. Missing out on a nice childhood. I do not envy them. No Spongebob or the joy of their first business venture. So the bottom line is we don’t have the money and the important question is do we really need to spend it on a luxury item very few will likely use?

Just look to Amtrak for the answer. After all they operate nation wide and have done so for more than four decades. Have they ever made a nickel? This should surprise you yet keep your optimism for California at bay. NO NOT ONE NICKEL! In fact they have lived off of approximately $40 billion in taxpayer subsidies during that time. And to this day their infrastructure is eroding, the service is poor and they are highly inefficient. So for the Senate of California this is a perfect model for our very own bullet train. This is the one sure pattern I have discerned from these elites. Reward failure with other peoples money. At least the Pols are getting votes in exchange for such waste.

Isn’t it great to be one of the elite that knows everything. How do we survive without them? At least that is what they ask themselves. As with any Socialist model, it is always “we know better than the Socialist model in the trash heap”. We are so smart we will get it right. Europe and Stalin where wrong. We are smarter. We are blessed to have them all are we not?

God help us from these delusional morons. For they all cost us dearly. They are costing your children even more.

Let Freedom Ring Now And Forever More! Happy 4th!

My fondest wishes to all for a blessed Independence Day to you and your families. I also wish the same for this great nation and that the youth of today truly learns and absorbs the majesty of what freedom and this country truly stand for historically as well as today.

Our founders engaged in a classic struggle of David vs. Goliath and what an amazing touch of Divine Providence we must all admit for such a glorious victory. But the struggle was just beginning friends. To build such a diverse nation with varied interests is a task I can consider almost insurmountable. Yet the brilliance of our Founders can not be denied. No doubt the Declaration of Independence is likely the greatest document for freedom ever written by the human hand. One might add the Constitution for good measure as equally brilliant.

But as the old saying goes “find the cost of freedom buried in the ground”. A high price was indeed paid for this war of independence and treasure has been spent as well. In fact I am utterly amazed that our Founders pledged not only their lives but that of their families and fortunes as well. Try getting a cup of coffee from your Congressman today. Not likely to happen unless you pay. So as the great Bob Dylan is wont to say “the times they are a changing”. Indeed Bob.

Those great documents have a nasty habit of being obfuscated, abused, misread, misinterpreted and mangled even by the great legal minds of our times. As to Congress they gave up on being concerned for our freedoms as guaranteed by same long ago. In fact if I may be so bold I would say they behave more in a fashion as the King we conquered in the late 18th century.

Perhaps it is because they (Congress) learned more from Alexis De Toqueville, the brilliant French observer and Ben Franklin who both stated and I will paraphrase “when this nation learns it can take booty from the general treasury in exchange for votes, it will lose its greatness”. Another sentiment they shared was “those who give up a little liberty for some security will find they end up with neither”. I agree with both great men and their view. I assume Congress does as well and have learned how to game the system to their respective advantage. What a travesty to be hostage to a group of charlatans as these.

So what has changed? Simple in my opinion. We no longer have true selfless statesmen. We have egotistical and self obsessed leaders after their own enrichment and the people be damned. And we the people have found our freedoms diminish little by little, year after year. It is sad but it can change and I submit the people are awakening. As Admiral Tojo once said his fear was in “awakening a sleeping giant”. Of course he was referring to the U.S.A.

We my friends are that sleeping giant. We are still the only beacon of hope for the world. “Yes we can”. No they can’t. Stand with me today in celebration of our Founders and warriors who paid such a price that makes me feel small by comparison. They made us a great nation. Let us keep their posterity in tact. Happy 4th.
